By blending cellulose acetate butyrate with thermoplastic acrylic resins, durable films with superior resistance to abrasion and environmental conditions can be produced. Both CAB-531-1 and CAB-381 esters exhibit comparable hydroxyl levels and solubility profiles, enabling compatibility with a broad spectrum of solvents. Additionally, CAB-531-1 offers greater flexibility and demands less plasticizer adjustment compared to CAB-381 esters.
