EVA emulsion, whose VA content is about 70% to 95%, is in emulsion state and is mainly used as adhesives, coatings, and coatings. The VA content of EVA elastomer is about 40% to 70%. EVA elastomer is mainly used as rubber elastomer and polyvinyl chloride modifier. The last category is EVA resin, which has a VA content of about 5~40%.

What is EVA resin?

EVA resin is also one of the main resin products provided by iSuoChem. Usually the so-called EVA products mainly refer to EVA resin, and its VA content is generally 5% to 40%. EVA resin can be processed into various products through injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, foaming, thermoforming, heat sealing, coating, welding and other molding methods, and has a wide range of uses. EVA film has the characteristics of good toughness, excellent impact resistance, high transparency, not easy to degrade, non-toxic and harmless, and low shrinkage.

EVA resin with a VA content of 12% to 24% has excellent fracture resistance and easy cross-linking properties. It can be widely used in insulation materials such as wires and cables to prepare heat shrinkable insulation materials, flame retardant insulation materials and semiconductor insulation. Materials etc.

EVA foam materials are widely used in the fields of automobiles and shoemaking. However, this material is not resistant to puncture, slipping, and hardening at low temperatures. Blending modified foaming of EVA can significantly improve the performance of EVA products.

In 1960, the American DuPont Company (Brand: DOW 40W) first realized the industrial production of EVA resin with low VA content. Subsequently, more than 30 companies including UCC, Bayer, Exxon, Mitsui Chemicals, Toyo Soda, Sumitomo Chemical, and Unica successively put into production EVA resin. Currently, iSuoChem mainly provides DOW/Mitsui EVAFlex 40W, SK EVATANE and other imported brands.

At present, EVA resin production areas are concentrated in the three major regions of Northeast Asia, North America and Western Europe. The production capacity in Northeast Asia is mainly distributed in China, South Korea and Japan. North America and Western Europe are the net export regions of EVA resin, while Asia and Central and South America are the main import regions of the EVA resin market and the regions with the fastest growing global demand for EVA resin.

Current situation of downstream consumption structure of EVA resin

In the past five years, China's EVA resin product structure has shown a trend of diversification, among which photovoltaics, cables, and foaming are still the main products. The proportion of high VA product output has increased year by year, among which photovoltaics have the most obvious growth rate. The development of the EVA resin terminal industry is uneven. The demand for high VA content of EVA resin supply is increasing year by year, while the demand gap in the photovoltaic industry continues to expand. The domestic EVA resin product structure has also changed according to changes in demand.

The growth rate of other downstream demand for EVA resin is expected to remain stable

In addition to photovoltaic products, cable material products. EVA resin products are mainly used for adhesion of clothing, shoes and hats, panel furniture, books and other objects. Although the growth rate of related industries is relatively low, because EVA resin is an odorless, harmless and environmentally friendly product with strong adhesion, it can be used against traditional phenyl glue.
