We all know that the main factors affecting ink adhesion are the ink resin system, pigment dispersion, the solvent system used and the surface properties of the substrate. Today we will talk about the influence of ink resin system on ink adhesion.
Influence of ink resin system
Chloroether resin is one of the important components of the ink system. Its important role is to act as a pigment carrier to mix and connect powdered pigments, fillers and other solid substances; so that the ink can be dried and consolidated into a film on the substrate. The resin system is one of the most critical components that affect the adhesion fastness of the ink on the substrate.
Different substrates have different molecular structures. The main substrates used for plastic packaging printing are BOPP, PET, NY and other substrates. In order to obtain good ink adhesion fastness, the ink resin used for printing must have a good relationship with the substrate. Affinity, the general printing polypropylene (PP) film will use chlorinated polypropylene resin ink in the production process. General-purpose inks suitable for BOPP, PET, NY and other substrates have begun to be used, but they are still needed in actual use. Effective identification of ink types, misuse of ink or mixing of inks from different manufacturers will cause quality accidents with poor ink adhesion.
Our chloroether resin has excellent adhesion on the plastic film, strengthens the wettability, dispersion, and stability of the pigment, blends well with other ink binders, and has excellent printing performance
Remark: iSuoChem Chloroether resin, we mainly supply CMP series resins, like MP45, MP15, MP25, MP35 and MP60.
