Biodegradable material polylactic acid (PLA)
Global Crisis
1. Greenhouse effect: Some plastic waste is estimated to take at least 400 years to decompose.
2. White pollution: The amount of plastic in the ocean is expected to double in the next 15 years, and by 2050 there could be more plastic in the ocean than fish (by weight).
3. Microplastics: Research has shown that, 90% of table salt contains microplastic particles.
PLA degradation mechanism
PLA has good biodegradability and can be completely degraded by microorganisms in nature after use, and finally generates carbon dioxide and water, which does not pollute the environment, which is very beneficial to protect the environment. It's recognized as an environmentally friendly material. As the finished PLA products produced from polylactic acid resin can be fully degraded in 180 days under composting conditions and the degradation cycle can be adjusted and customized.
